HomeServices My History Bali LifeBlogContactBooking OnlineMore My Experience with a Solar Plexo Disadvantage - Panic Attacks and Angle - and How I Re-established Balance Updated: April 1, 2020 It was during a transition time, going from Australia to Singapore, that I started having panic attacks on flights. This had never happened to me before and hated the feeling of not being in control; I was not afraid to fly, but every time I got on a plane that would happen, so I wanted to know why. Something had triggered the attacks and didn't want to spend the rest of my life taking prescription drugs to get on a flight, so I talked to a friend who suggested that Reiki could help me. I have reserved for the three recommended treatments Reiki, and after a discussion with my practitioner and some necessary introspection, I knew I needed to find out why this anxiety came into my life and I understood that my solar plexus would be the center of my healing journey. I understood that my solar plexus would be the center of my healing journey. I decided to join a workshop in Reiki 1, and from that point I knew I had discovered a tool to help me heal. During my healing I did not just fix panic attacks, I discovered other issues related to my solar plexus energy center that needed my attention. Both anatomically and energetically the solar plexus is in a vital position. The solar plexus begins at the center of the belly button and extends to the breastbone, or where its ribs are connected in the center of your chest. It is where two nerve packs (or nodes) accumulate, intertwin and pass each other in a central location in the abdomen. The solar plexus receives its name from its resemblance to the sun: where the nerves are in the center, the rays of the nerves radiate out to other areas of the body. Energetically the solar plexus (also known as Manipura chakra in Sanskrit - translated as "jewelcity"), is the center of our personal power, where you can feel physically trust and wisdom. It is connected to the digestive system and the adrenal glands. This chakra regulates our fears, sense of power and intestinal feelings, and therefore when this chakra is out of balance we can experience fears, eating disorders, anxiety and desire to control. I knew panic attacks could be related to other chakras - that is, root and third eye - but after learning more about Manipura's energy center, I felt that this was my best starting point. I learned that one of the most important functions of the adrenal glands is to initiate the "light or light" response: when a stressed or frightened person, the adrenal glands release a flood of hormones, including adrenaline and cortisol. These hormones increase heart rate, raise blood pressure, increase energy supplies, sharpen concentration and decrease other body processes so we can run or fight. When you're stuck on a plane, there's nowhere to run and no one to fight, but my adrenal glands would kick and all my energy would be diverted from my core and rush to my limbs, putting me in a panic mode. Over time the attacks were seen in my daily life: not only on planes, but on the way to the airport, in elevators, and I even had a job interview. So I took the time to make my self-sanation reiki, and to draw my attention to the solar plexus. I regularly did the chakra balance treatment (which you will know all about whether you have completed a Reiki 1 workshop with me), and after completing a resilience meditation course, I introduced these techniques in my practice also, driving the points below. During my personal treatments, other aspects of my solar plexo imbalance began to emerge, and as you may have learned from my other blog posts, each chakra position relates to a physical area of the body, and organs around it. So as I meditated on my Reiki, the achievements would occur, and the information I already knew, but I chose to ignore, would push forward. My cycle of behavior It is not an excuse - or perhaps it is - but the lifestyle of expats in Singapore meant that there was a fair amount of socialization, therefore my behavior patterns since being a teenager, working on advertising, family meetings (who had all involved heavy drink), resurfaced ... and never seemed to have a stop button. Over time I have managed to listen to my inner voice and significantly reduce my drink, usually stopping after one or two. And even after a little slip (like our first week in isolation), I don't hit myself by knowing that I will not return to my old ways: as Usui would say, "I will not worry for today and I will not be angry." The last imbalance that I realized in relation to this energy center, arose when completing an exercise during my training Reiki 1. We write a "snapshot" of life now using an "iceberg" analogy, with the "tip" being any physical manifestation of an imbalance (such as a physical discomfort, emotional blockade, problem or restlessness), then through Reiki and other practices, we can listen deeply to discover what is lurking under the iceberg, that is, the root cause. I wrote everything that was out of balance in my life - what I wanted to change and change - and I always do this exercise (and I share my personal example) with the students I take through Reiki 1, as I think it's a wonderful way to go deeper, and realize how far you can come. With that, what came to me during this exercise, was my tendency to procrastinate and lack of focus. At this time I was spinning many dishes: I was directing my own business selling sustainable merchandise, while I was busy being a wife and a mother. I think he was permanently on the edge of too many events at once, as I never knew what task to complete or prioritize, and he was never able to do one and get to the next. I always had (and until today), an endless list of lists. Over time, working on my solar plexus, I worked on my panic, my anger and my focus. I used the strength of this chakra, working on my self-discipline, self-confidence, self-esteem and self-respect, taking full care of myself. The following list is a collection of techniques that I have tried, which can help resolve a solar plexus imbalance and its physical manifestations: Spend some time in the sun: Vitamin D helps the body absorb calcium and phosphate from our diet, which are important for healthy bones, teeth and muscles. Curiously (but not surprisingly), the least vitamin D you have in your life, the more likely you are to problems such as anxiety and depression. Put lemon juice in the water: Help repair the liver, plus the gallbladder also likes it. Use yellow (fortunately my favorite color) Decorate your room or office with yellow: The color symbolizes energy, intellect and also the relationship a person has with Fire and Sun. Exercise and/or sport: Build your personal power through aerobic exercise, which releases endorphins and dopamine, but does not push to the extreme (in particular if you are older and/or live in a hot climate) - dance, yoga, martial arts, or walk, are all great ways to get in touch with your body and help release fear and anger. Meditate in the presence of fire: Light a candle or stir a fire in the fireplace, using it to connect to your inner consciousness. Yoga poses: The disconcerting postures help us digest food and life, tightening the internal organs, which helps to let go of jammed emotions and create space for new information. Breathing technique: Kapalabhati (Breath of Fire): Increases the health of organs in the navel, and loads all chakras by moving energy through the body. Singing RAM in the navel during your yoga and/or mediation practice: Singing the Mantra Bija, RAM, you are calling your solar plexo chakra to open and be free... to shine like the sun. How to organize: The strategy that best worked for me is the "regulatory of tasks 5". Every day I start a new list with my 5 to 10 priorities (some days I assign them some time), and then I started working. This has been a long way to help minimise my procrastination and help me stay focused. Essential oils: Use aromas such as rosemary or lavender. Crystals: Citrine is a crystal that can be worn with you, located next to you on your desk, or placed in the chakra during meditation. Other yellow crystals can be used if you don't have cytrine. As we say in holistic healing, the way to improve is not simple, it is unpredictable, unexpected and individual. Along the way we can discover more "Articles" to add to our list, and some can change quickly, while others take longer. It took me about 4 years to take a flight without conventional medical help. One day I arrived at the airport and I said to myself, "Let's go, have the biggest panic attack ever - no one has died of a panic attack" (it's not that I'd read about). So I did my Reiki and on that day I changed the switch again, and I've been able to fly drug-free ever since. Go ahead, have the biggest panic attack ever - no one has ever died of a panic attack"My anger problems have decreased - of course I still have my "motive moments," but they are a fraction of what they used to be. And yes, I still have days when my procrastination takes over, but it's a far cry from where I started. Now I really understand the importance of my chakra manipura, and by harnessing your power to my benefit, I am motivated, I invest time and energy in my spiritual well-being, and most importantly, I have found joy and purpose in what I do.
